Chinese Traditional Music
Class
Erhu, also known in the West as the
"Chinese violin" is a two-stringed bowed musical instrument,
used as a solo instrument as well as in small ensembles and
large orchestras.
Pipa is a plucked Chinese string
instrument. Sometimes called the Chinese lute, the instrument
has a pear-shaped wooden body.
Guzheng is a Chinese plucked zither
with a long history. A video below is performed by one of our
students at KW Multicultural Festival.
Erhu,Pipa
and Guzheng produce unique and beautiful sounds of music. This
class teaches techniques to play them.
